What better way to thank your parents for all their patience than to build them a home.

The building is located in an eco-village on the west coast of sweden. The philosophy of the village is that each household should be allowed to build a house most suited to their lifestyle and requirement. As a result the buildings vary greatly in size, method and style. Some are experimental straw-bale and mud houses while others, like this building more traditional in method.

Emphasis was on a building with high energy efficiency that was wall adapted to the site conditions. But also a house that suited the lifestyle of my parents was well as possible.
