Alsop Architects

I joined Alsop Architects with the ambition to apply my computer skills to large scale architecture but also to be a part of a larger team and not have to work so much in isolation. The main project I worked on was the Fourth Grace of Liverpool. The scheme consisted of 3 parts. The Hill; housing a museum, retail space and parking. The Cloud; three floors of hotel, three floors of offices and the 'Garden of Liverpool', an indoors garden at the top. The Tower; a residential tower with 550 apartments. I was hired as an architectural assistant but my role quickly developed into being responsible for 3D CAD on the project. Rather a big step up in scale from previous projects. Most of the 3D was done using Rhino for which I developed a number of custom tools to aid in the process. Project Involvement: Lead 3D CAD Specialist |
